2nd Summer School on
ANTIMICROBIAL AND BIOCIDE RESISTANCE
22nd - 26th July 2024
OBJECTIVES
The 2nd Summer School on Antimicrobial and Biocide Resistance is a co-organization between GHTM, Instituto de Higiene e Medicina Tropical (IHMT-NOVA) and Freie Universität Berlin (FUB), aiming at providing updated information on:
01
Antimicrobial resistance in a One Health perspective
Mechanisms of bacterial resistance to antimicrobials and biocides
02
03
AMR transfer and dissemination
04
Efflux-mediated resistance
Topics for pratical lessons:
01
Methodologies for evaluation of antimicrobial susceptibility
02
Estimation of epidemiological cut-off (ECOFF) values to predict decreased susceptibility to biocides
03
Isolation of genomic DNA for long-read sequencing
04
Prediction of AMR by whole-genome sequencing data analysis
The 2nd Summer School on Antimicrobial Resistance is powered by:
Bilateral PT Germany (FCT/DAAD) mobility project 2022.15300.CBM
